Using Hypnotherapy To Help You With Your Mental Health

Today the “Thrive at Work Report” was published by the government (

It makes interesting reading, as we all have mental health, just like we all have physical health and just like physical health, mental health can vary, depending on our situation and the different stages of life.

It is essential that we all learn to recognize our own mental health and how it may be affecting us. Are we okay, struggling or are we suffering illness? It is also important that we recognize symptoms of mental illness in those around us.

Mental illness will generally start off as feelings of anxiety or stress and overwhelm, you may get palpations and panic attacks, a racing heart, shortness of breath, a feeling of butterflies in your stomach, negative thoughts, feelings of nausea, you may even break out in a sweat or suffer from insomnia. There is no ‘one size fits all’ where mental health issues are concerned, how we suffer mental health issues will be individual to each and every one of us. Moreover, the things that cause us stress and anxiety can manifest themselves in many different way, i.e. claustrophobia, agoraphobia, a lack of confidence, becoming introvert, just to name a few issues and these can also complicate our mental health!

Healthcare professionals are more likely to prescribe a ‘talking theory’ these days, rather than anti-depressants. A hypnotherapist will use hypnotherapy techniques to help the client to regain some control over their mental health. The benefits of a hypnotherapy session include, feeling more confident and relaxed, which will enable the client to break away from a negative thought pattern and gain some clarity of thought and be more positive.

It seems these days that we are hearing more and more about different groups who are seriously struggling with their mental health. Mental health issues in the population are up in so many sectors, for instance:

Police -

Teachers -

Firefighters -

Young people -

It is as if we are suffering a mental health epidemic!

Hypnotherapy is natural, as natural as sleep, it is non invasive and drug free. If you or someone you know is suffering mental health issues, then consider hypnotherapy. So if you want an effective, private and confidential solution, try hypnotherapy.
